On November 7, Jacksonville & the Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau announced that it had changed its name to Visit Jacksonville. The change comes after a year of talks between the board of directors, industry partners, stakeholders, and staff.
"We truly are going from good to great as an organization and feel that the new name presents an action of what we want people to do: visit Jacksonville," said Larry Walter, vice president of marketing for the CVB.
The name change is only part of the corporate rebranding, which also includes the introduction of a redesigned Web site and the launch of a new ad campaign.
