Golf Digest's 2009 Readers' Choice survey named St. Augustine's 6,300-acre World Golf Village the 15th best resort course in the nation.
"We're very proud of this prestigious ranking," said Mark Schwantner, general manager of the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, the official resort of World Golf Village and the World Golf Hall of Fame. "It shows that World Golf Village offers exceptional golf, with outstanding accommodations, first-class service, wonderful dining, and great off-course offerings too."
The hotel just completed a $10 million property-wide renovation, including the complete remodeling of all 301 guest rooms and suites and the lobby atrium, and the addition of a new restaurant and bar.
Together with the adjoining St. Johns County Convention Center and the adjacent Hall of Fame, the resort is the largest combination hotel and conference center between Atlanta and Orlando, with 86,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
