As we enter the thick of the corporate holiday party season, here are some ideas and resources to keep a group entertained, fed, and rewarded.
1. For a holiday-themed activity, Wildly Different is offering a Winter Wonderland Game Show that can be executed at your office or venue of choice. Groups are divided into teams to compete in challenges like Chillin’ Trivia, where they answer winter- and snow-themed trivia questions, or Songs of the Season, where participants identify a holiday song—or the movie it came from—after hearing just a few notes. The event package includes game show assistants, an M.C., DJ, awards for each person on the winning team, and all the props needed to play the games. The cost is $2,750 for 32 people and $30 for each additional person.
2. Impact Entertainment Services is offering a 10 percent discount on all entertainment bookings for holiday parties. Celebrity and non-celebrity acts like comedian and impressionist Rob Magnotti, who’s made appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman, can be arranged. The offer is good through January 1.
3. Tampa-based Tanya and Matt’s Ice Creamiest and Ice Sculptures has several holiday-themed ice cream flavors like peppermint stick, pumpkin, egg nog, and cinnamon stick. The frozen treats are available in three-gallon tubs, which feed 50 people each for $28 to $35, depending on the flavor, or as part of a sundae bar with various toppings for $6.50 per person.
4. Groups of as many as 130 can cruise around Tampa Bay in the Bay Spirit II, the Florida Aquarium’s new 72-foot catamaran. The two-deck yacht costs $2,000 for a two-hour rental, and the aquarium is offering a 10 percent discount on events booked through December.
