Event space the Waterfront (in the former Tunnel nightclub space) has changed its name to Frame. The new on-site caterer is Allure Catering.
Chef Katy Sparks, formerly of Quilty's, will open a new restaurant
with partner Christopher Chestnutt of El Teddy's in the former
space of L-Ray. The restaurant--called Katy--is slated to open
in late summer, according to The New York Times.
Slated to open this fall, the new Westin New York--Times Square will offer Shula's Steak House as one of its in-house restaurants. According to The New York Times, the restaurant will be the first New York location for the 15-restaurant Shula's Steak House chain owned by former Miami Dolphins player and coach Don Shula.
Rouge, a new restaurant from David Ruggerio (Calle Nueve, Sushi A Go-Go) in the former space of Maratti, offers French cuisine in a coverted two-story brownstone. The restaurant was redesigned by Jack Baum of Tree House Design, who also designed the interior of Danzon.
