VENUE: Retro Chic at Flow

If a venue can look both retro and futuristic at the same time, then new SoHo bar and lounge Flow certainly does. Owner Tommy Finneran (Blue Grotto, Opal) brought in Koss Design Group to put together a look that's part Jetsons and part 50's and 60's lounge lizard-slash-bachelor pad, with back-lit, teardrop-shaped cutouts in the walls, a flourescent stripe running down the bar, cool waterfall effects and geometric light fixtures. The bilevel venue has a total of 4,200 square feet, and can fit 650 for cocktails or seat 240. --Suzanne Ito
