What about...
...Colin Cowie? He's on Oprah, he's in magazines, he's even promoting JCPenney—but he's not designing events for corporate clients. The last time he did an event that wasn't for a private client was 2003's Whitney gala.
...Floral Designers? For this list, we concentrated on people who create entire event environments. Many started working with flowers, but do more than that now. Strictly floral designers are great—they’re just not on this list.
...Your Favorite Designer? Well, this is subjective stuff. We did our best to compare New York’s designers based on the quality and volume of their work, and their clients and reputation in the industry—and these are our results. But we’d love to know what you think, so email us at [email protected].
