It's time to make your mark. Nominations are now open for the 12th Annual Event Experience Awards!

CANADA: A Virtual Arts Festival, Calgary’s Hotel-Based Music Festival, and More

NATIONAL: Teen Vogue's next virtual event, Teen Vogue Orientation, will take place on Aug. 14. The event will be hosted via Zoom and is free and open to students of all ages. Teen Vogue editors will lead the orientation, spotlighting career and entrepreneurship conversations with industry leaders in areas of fashion and media, beauty and wellness, and politics and culture; there will also be a message from U.S. congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.

CALGARY: Hotels Live, founded by music veteran Rob Cyrnowski, has collaborated with Ramada Plaza, Livestar Entertainment, and Showpass to create an experience that combines a hotel stay experience with live music. The event gives local artists an opportunity to entertain fans from socially distanced hotel room balconies.

EDMONTON: The 2020 Heritage Festival is going virtual. The festival will run for the month of August with interactive elements featuring food, dance, and other cultural offerings—including recipes from more than 100 different countries and multicultural organizations. The event's virtual marketplace will promote artisans and restaurants that have been impacted by COVID-19, with more than 40 restaurants selling their goods to attendees.

TORONTO: Toronto Adventures, a kayak, canoe, and paddleboard venue, is hosting riverfront outdoor, comedy, music, and even magic shows that can be attended by boat. Participants will start in their boat or kayak at the Humber Paddling Centre, and paddle down the river to the shows. Tickets range from $35 to $70 depending on the size of the boat, and include paddles, life jackets, and glow sticks.

VANCOUVER: The sixth annual Vines Art Festival is going virtual this year from Aug. 5-15. Vines is an arts organization that advocates for marginalized artists who are working towards "land, water, and relational justice." The free event's interactive online map will give attendees the opportunity to work their way through the experience at their own pace.
