We hear that designer David Monn will be back designing the much-fussed-over Costume Institute gala at the Met this year. (You’ll remember that Monn took over decor duties last year from Robert Isabell, who had done the event for years.) Vogue special events director Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who works on the event with editor and gala cochairwoman Anna Wintour, declined to comment. Always-on-the-ball Met spokeswoman Bernice Kwok-Gabel said no contracts had been signed and cited the museum’s policy not to confirm such details until they are official. This year’s gala will be Monday, May 1, with an “Anglomania” theme inspired by sponsor Burberry.
