The Tower Beverly Hills Hotel had closed in October for a complete renovation, but the hotel suddenly reopened on November 1, possibly due to transfer of ownership. Hotel reps wouldn't confirm who currently owns the hotel, but it's now managed by the Cipriani Hotel Group. Renovations of the property are on hold, but reps say the former Lot 1224 restaurant will become a sports lounge with billiards and access to the pool and cabanas. Meeting space includes a boardroom that seats 30, plus its adjacent living room, and a screening room that holds 100. There are currently no on-site catering services. The former Loews Beverly Hills was sold in June 2006 to Strategic Hotels & Resorts, which changed the name to the Tower Beverly Hills Hotel.
