Last week, shopping magazine Lucky hosted its first annual Lucky Shops L.A., the West Coast’s first incarnation of the shopping event that started in New York. Now in its eighth year, Lucky Shops offered an edited selection of apparel and accessories at discount prices at Siren Studios. On Friday and Saturday, with a V.I.P. night on Thursday, guests came for music, giveaways, and drinks from Hpnotiq, as well as shopping.
The event was presented by Zync from American Express, and card members got special benefits. Shoppers who used their card for purchases in the Zync Designer District section received a limited-edition custom tote designed especially for Zync by Rebecca Minkoff. They also got complimentary valet service, as well as the chance to participate in an on-site sweepstakes for exclusive designer pieces.
Guests included Lucky editor in chief Brandon Holley, plus Brittany Snow, Elisha Cuthbert, Selma Blair, Rashida Jones, and others. Lucky Shops benefited Baby Buggy, a New York-based nonprofit organization that provides essential gear, clothing, and products to needy families.
