PopSugar’s Sugar Chalet

No lift ticket was needed to get a taste of the après-ski life at PopSugar’s inaugural “Sugar Chalet," which took place last year at the Overlook at Winter Village at Bryant Park in New York. Decked out in colorful plaids, cozy decor, and lodge-inspired features such as a giant hearth with rainbow-hued “logs,” the chalet also included an interactive gifting wall filled with swag that was hidden behind tiny doorways.

Santa's Fantastical

Last year, Santa's Fantastical, an immersive holiday experience in Atlanta, invited guests to explore themed rooms and participate in various winter-inspired activities, including Snowpalooza, a digital game that involved tossing snowballs at a screen of animated snowmen. The ticketed experience was the brainchild of local entrepreneurial couple Walt Geer and Sarah Blackman, who teamed up with PictureU to bring the innovative idea to life inside a 39,000-square-foot space. Throughout the many rooms that made up Santa's Fantastical was a bevy of Instagrammable moments, including a neon "Kiss Me" sign paired with a festive mistletoe, Santa's reimagined rocket sleigh, a dreamy carousel unicorn, and more.

On the roof of New York's TWA Hotel, the Runway Chalet at the Pool Bar boasted an interior reminiscent of a 1960s ski lodge. A winter-inspired food and drink menu from Gerber Group offered seasonal cocktails, traditional sips like hot cocoa and hot toddies, charcuterie boards, cheese fondue, and more. Outside, guests were welcome to take a dip in the infinity pool, which rose to 95 degrees or higher and overlooked the runways of John F. Kennedy International Airport.
