ICYMI, today, March 14, is Pi Day—an annual celebration of the mathematical constant (the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter). Represented by pi (Greek letter “π”), it equals about 3.14159, hence why math enthusiasts—and dessert lovers—honor it every year on this day.

Pi Day Pies from Tiny Pies

To celebrate Pi Day, Austin-based Tiny Pies offered up nine-inch pies (also known as the Not So Tiny Pies) made in a range of flavors. On the menu: apple crumb, coconut cream, key lime, and more, and each are adorned with a pi symbol made from pie crust. Plus, the Tiny Pies 12-pack consists of mini versions of the special treat. White Chocolate Strawberry Pie from Peggy Jean’s Pies

The White Chocolate Strawberry pie from Peggy Jean’s Pies features a fluffy cloud of strawberry whipped cream, a sweet spread of baked strawberries in the middle, and a dense white chocolate cheesecake base. Peggy Jean’s Pies has two locations in Columbia, Mo. Unfortunately, the shop isn’t able to ship cream pies, but its fruit and nut pie sampler packs are available for shipping.

Flinstone A La Mode at Crust & Roux

At AYYA Hospitality Group’s all-pie restaurant concept, Crust & Roux, in Las Vegas, visitors can enjoy gourmet pizza pies, pot pies, and dessert pies. A highlight? Flinstone A La Mode, which includes vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, Fruity Pebbles, strawberry Pop-Tarts, and rainbow sprinkles—all paired with a slice of strawberry pie.

Pie Party Packs from HIGH-pie

The new Pie Party Packs from HIGH-pie, a pie concept located at the iconic Top Gun house in Oceanside, Calif.—from Tara Lazar, the chef and restaurateur behind F10 Hospitality—serve as a perfect offering for corporate events, hostess gifts, and party favors. Available in packs of 12 or 24, you can mix and match any assortment of pies, which come in three different flavors: apple, cherry, and blueberry. A variety of dipping sauces, including sea salt caramel, is also available as a tasty add-on. All pies are gluten free but still boast a flaky, buttery crust. As a nod to its historic home, the packaging, designed in collaboration with LA-based LFNCO studio, features a 1950s-inspired military design with red, white, and blue Americana color palettes. Pies are available for pick-up or delivery.

Karelian Pie at Finnjävel Pop-Up

From March 21-April 1, Michelin-starred restaurant Finnjävel will bring its signature Finnish cuisine to London’s COMO The Halkin. The exclusive menu, created by Finnish chef Tommi Tuominen, will highlight a range of traditional Nordic dishes, including Karelian Pie—a rye tartlet with rice and egg. The savory dish is traditionally made with rice porridge encased by a rye flour crust. The two-week pop-up will be open for dinner from Tuesdays-Sundays; the six-course tasting menu is priced at approximately $157.
