Formerly the site of Chelsea Bar & Billiards, Slate is a restaurant, bar and billiards hall--perfect for a crowd that wants to do more than drink and lounge around. Slate's main floor features its beautiful front bar, lounge (shown here) and dining room. The main billiards area is downstairs, where there are also two private areas for small parties, each with a mini bar, banquettes and private pool tables. For special events, rates start at $60 per person for three hours, and increases if you request premium liquors or Slate's Middle Eastern food. For the entire 15,000-square-foot venue (for as many as 700 guests) rates start at $200 per person, which includes hors d'oeuvres, billiards and basic bar service.
