This week, E. Leaven Food Company rolled out its first-ever food truck, which can provide catering for meetings and events in the city and suburbs. The restaurant and caterer specializes in breakfast and lunch items, as well as baked goods. The truck can cater to groups of 10 or more guests, and it can also serve dinner menus upon request. For catering orders, E. Leaven requests an average of two weeks' lead time.
The 24-foot vehicle offers almost everything that's available at E. Leaven's brick-and-mortar location, including Aji-braised short rib piewiches (short ribs stuffed and baked in puff pastry dough) for breakfast; turkey and brie sandwiches on multigrain bread and chopped Mediterranean salads for lunch; and desserts, such as French macarons and carrot cake served in cups. Most menu items cost less than $10 apiece.
