
On November 13, Old Navy hosted a press preview for its spring 2015 collection at Cedar Lake in New York. The event had a "road trip" theme, and adjacent to one clothing vignette was a farm stand designed to recall what travelers might find along country roads, including miniature chicken potpies. MKG came up with the concept for the catering experience.


Offering a pretzel bar with several varieties puts a spin on the classic snack. Paramount Events Chicago has a pretzel station with plain, sea salt, cheese, and pepperoni pretzels that hang from a stand. Accompanying sauces include whole-grain mustard and tomato-bacon jam.

Individual bacon slices came served in bamboo cups at Cigars & Spirits at the Betsy Hotel rooftop. Chefs Craig Strong and Gabriel Ask of Montage Hotels & Resorts and Laurent Tourondel of the Betsy provided the fare, which paired with bourbons, whiskies, Scotches, and tequilas.

A display for Strongbow cider at the Grand Tasting featured rows of upside-down bottles slotted into wooden boards. Gold-painted apples in barrels, trees, and loose piles added to the scene.
