







Target aired a live concert during a commercial break in the Grammy show, turning its ad buy into a four-minute performance by the Imagine Dragons live from Las Vegas’ Fremont Street. The setup included a circular stage with a 360-degree screen around the perimeter showcasing abstract visuals of the band.

Essence hosted its sixth annual Black Women in Music pre-Grammy event on Thursday at Avalon Hollywood, honoring and featuring a performance by Jill Scott.

The event, which celebrated important moments in the magazine's 45-year history, included hot pink roses and ranunculus presented in vessels made of cassette tapes for a vintage appeal. There was also old-school candy on the tables and food served on branded records.

Colgate Optic White was a sponsor of the Essence event, setting up a product station in front of a selfie-ready mirror decorated with a hashtag. Polaroids in the Colgate area were also meant to recall a sense of history.

Rolling Stone and Google Play hosted an event at the El Rey Theatre on Thursday in celebration of the new availability of the mag's archives on Google Play Newsstand. V Squared Labs collaborated with Warren Tash to create a projection-mapped display, which featured four decades of magazine covers projection mapped and blended.

A tiered, branded ice sculpture bore the event host's name.

Red Light Management's Grammy after-party at Skybar was designed and produced by Gina Wade, and featured illuminated floral decor pieces hanging from tree limbs.

Dramatic draping by BAM Specialty Fabrics and Draping added to the party's decor.



This year, the event drew its inspiration from cinema history, pulling 3,000 photos from the academy’s archives to use in the decor.Â


A display of spirits and yellow and red cherry tomatoes provided on-theme decor at the Exploring the Bloody Mary tasting seminar February 22 at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach.

Bar Lab created handcrafted cocktails for the dinner to pair with each course. The snow-like garnish on champagne flutes set the beverage apart.

Star fruit and flowers added artful accents to brandy snifters for another one of Bar Lab’s cocktail pairings.

Pickled onion was a colorful garnish choice that broke apart the beige tones of fried chicken and waffles from Root & Bone. The dish was served at the Southern Kitchen Brunch on February 22 at Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Max Ultimate Food
A graduate of Boston University with a degree in hotel and restaurant management, Matthew Donegan considers living and working in Paris as his biggest career break. Upon returning to the United States, he owned and operated two restaurants for 10 years and worked at the Catered Affair before joining Max Ultimate Food in Boston. There, his catering roster includes prestigious venues and fund-raising events for nonprofit organizations, such as the Boston Ballet gala, the DeCordova Museum gala, and the Perkins School for the Blind gala.

Shiraz Events
Born in Venezuela, Myriam Cordova studied at Casa de Campo University in Madrid before working alongside top chefs, including Douglas Rodriguez, Alex Garcia, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Zarela Sanchez. Cordova, who honed her skills as the executive chef at the Betsy Ross Hotel prior to heading up the culinary and catering division of Shiraz Events in Miami, also teaches at the New York Food and Hotel Management School.
