
Following its 2015 conference titled Selma at 50: Still Marching, the Chicago Theological Seminary transformed graphic recordings created by Ink Factory into wall art for its office.

For Maestro Health’s HR Technology Expo & Conference in 2016, Ink Factory’s artist took notes on a digital tablet and the image was projected on large screens that served as the backdrop on the stage.

At Maestro Health’s conference, eight screens hung around the large hall so all 9,000 attendees could clearly see the graphic recording as it was being created in real time.

Following Purdue University’s Dawn or Doom conference in 2015, organizers created a book that included details from every talk, and the visual notes created by Ink Factory.

For the OpenStack Summit in Austin in 2016, ImageThink created a graphic with tips for attendees that organizers displayed in the registration area.

At Content Marketing World, September 4 to 7 in Cleveland, Kingman Ink produced a PDF version of the visual notes its artists created from 20 sessions at the event. The company sent the PDF to attendees who requested a copy.

At the Chicago Theological Seminary’s 2016 conference, Ink Factory created a 7- by 20-foot mural illustrating content from sessions.

During Chicago Ideas Week in 2014, Ink Factory visualized the theme of “A Community of Curiosity” on the exterior of the Violet Hour, a bar in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

For a party to commemorate Chicago Trading Company’s 20th birthday, Revel Global Events hired Ink Factory to create a custom 5- by 10-foot light box covered with lightweight acrylic. During the event, artists drew images on the light box to represent key moments in the company’s history. After the event, guests received small Plexiglas versions of the artwork as a gift.

In the atrium and trade show hall at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, Kingman Ink created display towers from the boards of visual notes taken during Content Marketing World sessions.

Rock and Roll Team Building launched in Sydney, Australia, in July 2016. The service, which is based in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, provides music-focused interactive workshops for corporate events. The workshops, which are led by Grammy-winning songwriter Ciaran Gibbin, include songwriting classes, the recording of an original song, and the chance to pose as rock stars such as Madonna and Axl Rose. The workshops also include an evening performance by Gribbin.

The software offers a customizable event automation platform of apps and services for planners, with features including integrated guest check-in; onsite badge, plastic card, and wristband printing; self-check-in kiosks that can be customized; R.F.I.D. automated check-in and tracking; session management; and real-time analytics.

Game of Thrones Holiday Party

Silhouette Group designed a Game of Thrones-theme corporate holiday party for a finance company in December 2016. Inspired by the medieval fantasy series, the party took place in a 13th century-style castle winery in Napa Valley, and featured a variety of decor inspired by the series including a replica of the iron throne, fur blankets draped on wooden benches, twig-covered fire pits, and a custom map. The 90-seat dining table featured tall, lavish centerpieces created with candles, a variety of greenery and florals, and pomegranates.



American Eagle Outfitters celebrated its 40th anniversary at its AE Studio concept store in Union Square in October. The event featured glowing cocktails in branded drink pouches from Peter Callahan Catering.

The 16th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach took place December 7 to 10 at Miami Beach Convention Center, alongside satellite events that were part of Miami Art Week. The Faena District’s Franchise Freedom installation featured 300 synchronized drones “dancing” to classical music. The feat was organized by Amsterdam-based Studio Drift in partnership with BMW.



To celebrate the Oscars on Sunday, Swarovski hosted “Red Carpet Moments: Sparkle Like the Stars in Times Square” at its flagship store. The event featured a silver carpet entrance and a video booth that invited guests to take 15-second video clips against a crystal backdrop. The videos were live streamed on a digital billboard above the store. The jewelry brand partnered with the Gathery on the event concepts and execution.


Bombay Sapphire is hosting an interactive pop-up cocktail bar through November 25 at a vacant space in Toronto. Guests are invited to make their own gin cocktails by stopping at D.I.Y. stations. One station is a mixing wall, which offers three infused tonics for guests to pour from built-in fountains. Ingredients, which are displayed in labeled jars, change weekly.

Another station is the spritz wall, where attendees can add extracts such as lemongrass, cassia, bergamot, and edible glitter.
