Advertising Week brings together marketing, advertising, branding, and technology professionals to participate in educational sessions, take advantage of networking opportunities, and enjoy world-class entertainment. Founded in New York in 2004, Advertising Week’s influence has grown to include editions in London, Tokyo, Mexico City, and Sydney. The flagship gathering drew 98,000 attendees in 2018, with more than 450 events and 1,200 speakers over four days. Highlights included appearances from Will Smith, Emma Stone, and Arianna Huffington. #2 Advertising Industry Event
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Clio Awards, which gather 700 guests to celebrate the year’s achievements in advertising. Chelsea Handler hosted the 2018 event at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, when award winners included Burger King, Ogilvy Chicago, BBDO Worldwide, and architect Frank Gehry. Next: September 25, 2019

#3 Advertising Industry Event (up from #4)
Advertising, innovation, design, and creative thinking come together during Creative Week, presented each year by the One Club for Creativity. Over the course of the five-day event, venues all over the city will host some 2,000 guests for a variety of daytime and evening programming, including workshops, panel discussions, and award presentations. #4 Advertising Industry Event (up from #5)
Each year, the Advertising Council’s Public Service Award Dinner recognizes a C.E.O. who has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public service. More than 1,500 leaders in the marketing and advertising industries attend the event, which in 2018 was hosted by comedian Trevor Noah and honored IBM’s Ginni Rometty and was held at the New York Hilton Midtown.
