BANFF, ALBERTA: From mid-November through the end of December, Banff Gondola is hosting a Christmas-themed event atop Sulphur Mountain. The winter wonderland will include visits from Santa, cookie decorating, screenings of Christmas films, star gazing, a mulled wine bar, and more. The gondola runs to the top of the mountain from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last ride down at 8:30 p.m.
MONTREAL: The City of Montreal has announced that Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec et Montréal will organize the next Montreal Marathon. The decision follows a call for proposals from Quebec-based nonprofit sporting organizations, a response to a death at the 2019 marathon that raised questions about the event's communications and organization procedures.
TORONTO: Polar, billed as Canada's first multilevel drive-thru holiday experience, will take place Nov. 27 to Jan. 3 at Toronto's Pearson International Airport. The six-level, socially distant experience will last about 30 minutes and include experiences such as an LED light tunnel, holiday decor, and a visit with Santa.
VANCOUVER: Richmond's Accent Inns Vancouver Airport has begun offering blocks of rooms as office space. Guests can book a standard room for $60 per day, from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m, as opposed to the standard rate of $105 per night. The hotel has 203 rooms.
