Earlier this month, Richard G. Miller was named the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts' vice president of development. In this new position, he will be responsible for managing the Center's fund-raising programs and supervising its development staff. He has been with the company since 2002, when he accepted the position of associate director for the Performing Arts Center Foundation. Miller has worked as a professional fund-raiser since 1966, having been an independent fund-raising consultant as well as vice president of C.W. Shaver & Company, a NY-based consulting firm. He has served several arts clients including the Kraviz Center for the Performing Arts, Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, and the Goodwood Museum & Gardens.
