Waddington’s Auctioneers and Appraisers has begun renting out space for events at its historic 111 Bathurst Street address. Event planners can choose from several rooms, including the 7,000-square-foot auction room, which seats 500 theatre-style and can be partitioned into two separate spaces. Amenities include modern sound and lighting equipment, an overhead projection system, and a back-dropped stage. The space’s fifteen-foot ceilings allow for large installations, and the building’s loading docks make it easy to move materials in and out. The rental cost is $3,000. For more intimate affairs, the furnished lobby accommodates 80 standing guests. 111 Bathurst has its own parking lot, and additional public parking is available nearby.
