Live event platform CrowdSync Technology is adding its signature LED technology to 2020’s best accessory—the face mask.

As the event industry continues to shift with the public health landscape, live experience agency CrowdSync Technology decided that while some changes must be made to put new safety measures in place, what doesn't have to change is the exciting, playful nature of live events. The New York-based business has been daydreaming about the return of live events right along with the rest of us, so BizBash caught up with the company to see how event pros can use its new LED face mask technology to power their own safe, out-of-the-box events and activations.

The mask offers a variety of customizable features to enhance the guest experience as in-person events slowly make their comeback. “The proprietary plug-and-play DMX control technology allows us to sync thousands of our LED face masks together, creating a new experience. The mask also comes with a micro USB, lithium-ion batteries, and replaceable filters for future use,” Kovachick explains.

Up next, CrowdSync is launching a new product for social distancing: SafeBands—a LED color-coded bracelet system that indicates a person’s comfort level in regard to socializing and social distancing. Green implies that a person is open to face-to-face interaction; yellow indicates that interaction is suitable when necessary; red signifies that a person wants all interaction to happen in a socially distant manner. CrowdSync's soon-to-launch SafeBands technology will allow in-person events to take place while respecting guests' preference for social distancing.CrowdSync's soon-to-launch SafeBands technology will allow in-person events to take place while respecting guests' preference for social distancing.Photo: Courtesy of CrowdSync Technology
