On April 9, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts opened the 184-room Sheraton Herndon Dulles Airport Hotel, one of the chain’s new boutique-style properties. Located at the gateway of the Dulles Technology Corridor, the hotel’s lobby has dark wood paneling, Scottish tartan accents, a fireplace, and comfortable leather-like seating. The clubby look continues into the adjoining 65-seat Capital Connection Restaurant and Lounge, which has an American menu and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Nearby there are four butter-colored meeting rooms, the largest of which is the 1,340-square-foot Sheraton Ballroom, which can seat 90. Opposite the meeting rooms are a fitness center and indoor pool. All guest rooms have high-speed Internet access.
Dulles Expo & Conference Center and the Smithsonian Steven F. Uvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum are both minutes away.
