In September, Mango's Tropical Café added a new area to its lively Latin-inspired venue for private business and social engagements. The 1,500-square-foot Mojito Room pays homage to Cuban culture. Dkor Interiors brought in plush leopard-print banquettes, copper palm trees, and mahogany paneling to create an upscale tropical environment for cocktail parties, corporate functions, or seated dinners for 120 people. The room also features canvas paintings by Cuban-born artist Umberto Benitez and an entire bar and back wall made from hand-sculpted copper by artist Kim Brandell. Event planners can take advantage of Mango's custom catering options, state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, DJ, live timbale player, and performances by a salsa dance troupe. For an energizing team-building activity for groups of 15, the salsa troupe can teach dance lessons. —Vanessa Goyanes
