Million Dollar Shoes Get Intimate Party

Tomorrow Stuart Weitzman will host a party to announce which highly guarded red carpet walker will wear Weitzman's $1 million shoes at Sunday's Oscars. Randy Fuhrman Events is producing the party at Christie's with an Old Hollywood look to match the shoes, which were inspired by Rita Hayworth's rubies and sapphires. Red napkins and seat cushions tied in red stain sashes will add glamour to black and white tablecloths from Wildflower Linen and BBJ. "Instead of doing a cocktail party where we invite the whole world, this is one event where I entertain the way I would at home," Jane Weitzman said. "Christie's only holds about 100, so this is actually a very small thank-you party for talent, press, and stylists." Fuhrman will serve banana, rum, macadamia, and mint brownies from his just-launched side project, Randy's Brownies and Cakes, and Baron Hertzog and Bacardi will sponsor the bars.
