Ryan Seacrest reported on his radio show yesterday that Spears will not be performing at this year’s VMAs, and MSNBC and scores of other outlets have picked up the news. On his show, Seacrest quoted Spears manager as saying: “Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year. I’m telling you officially and unequivocally.”
Spears is up for three awards at the show, which will take to the Paramount lot on September 7.
