The annual Look Good Feel Better Ball, which raises money to support female cancer survivors, chose a Hollywood theme for its 16th edition, held at the upscale Fairmont Royal York.
Guests traversed a red carpet, mingled with Charlie Chaplin, Joan Rivers, Lucille Ball, and Marilyn Monroe impersonators from Hollywood Heaven, and rubbed shoulders with large Oscar statues standing sentry along the walls. As well, featured guest Michael Westmore, an Academy Award winning makeup artist, gave attendees the opportunity to hold the Oscar he won in 1985 for his work on the film Mask.
The fun continued in the dining space, where the decor included a large Hollywood sign lit by searchlights and ice sculpture centerpieces from Iceculture showcasing miniature Oscars. Frischkorn Audio Visual surrounded the tables with screens showing moving stories of women taking part in the Look Good Feel Better program and special messages from Celine Dion and Shania Twain.
Montreal celebrity drag queen diva Mado La Motte spun hip hop and new age music to close the evening.
