Event planners are always looking for new trends in event design to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for their clients. Guests demand to see something unique, exciting, and creative to keep them interested. Recent trends include increased guest engagement and a focus on technology, but, regardless of the trend, planners are looking to incorporate it into every aspect of the event, starting with the location.

Location is key to setting the tone of an event. Gone are the days of just booking a large convention space. Event planners are leaning toward customizable venues where they can create their own event space. Many event planners are turning to clearspan structures, which offer limitless customization opportunities and are the perfect solution to craft a unique, one-of-a-kind experience.

Arena Americas specializes in in-house design and manufacturing and has created some of the most unique venues for clients worldwide. Whether it's a unique tent shape, a custom façade, or a double-decker, Arena's event experts work with planners to design the exact space they envision for their event. Featured here are just a few examples of the custom work that Arena Americas has provided.

In 2015, Arena Americas installed tenting and other rental equipment for the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, WA, including a unique double-decker structure that provided more than 28,000 square feet of viewing and hospitality space. Event planners needed each suite in the double-decker to have a clear view of the course. Arena's engineers and designers developed a custom bracing system to use in place of traditional X-braces, to provide 600-plus linear feet of unobstructed viewing.

The NFL Draft returned to Chicago in 2015 for the first time since 1964, bringing with it the inaugural NFL Draft Town. Draft Town was a free fan festival where guests could hear live music, get player autographs, enjoy interactive games, and purchase memorabilia from their favorite teams. Event planners wanted to create team houses where fans could celebrate together. Arena's designers created custom gables branded with graphics for each of the NFL's teams. The team houses were installed in a row creating a sense of camaraderie, as well as friendly rivalry.

Luggage company Rimowa wanted to create a unique display at the nation's largest air show and turned to Arena Americas to design a custom clearspan structure. Arena's designers created a unique, corrugated metal façade, as well as a custom second-story viewing deck where guests had a clear view of the flight line and could enjoy the weeklong air show.

Arena offers many other customization options, including single-slope clearspan structures, offset ridge structures, rondo or apse end structures, curved structures, various façade options, temporary elevators for double-decker structures, interior build-out capabilities, custom flooring, and more. These unique requests have been made possible by Arena's talented in-house design and manufacturing team. Event planners have limitless opportunities to make their vision come to life and provide their guests with a spectacular experience.
