Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards

On February 4 at the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, Woman’s Day hosted its 17th annual Red Dress Awards. The B-52s performed some of their greatest hits during the evening, and a giant floral heart, which was created by Kate Moutenot of Largent Studios in Brooklyn and illuminated from within, served as the centerpiece for the event. The awards recognize advocates and survivors of heart disease.

'Birds of Prey' Global Premiere Event

Margot Robbie posed on the yellow carpet at the global premiere of Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn in London at the Odeon BFI IMAX on January 29. A colorful backdrop mimicked the pattern of bird feathers and featured large silver lettering for the title.

Sundance Film Festival

The Sundance Film Festival wrapped up on February 2 in Park City, Utah. For the 10th consecutive year, Chase Sapphire was one of the presenting sponsors of the festival and hosted cast parties and panels, offering coffee, happy hours, arcade games, and live music from local artists. The exterior featured a giant snow angel that served as a photo spot. Chase worked with Intersport and Brilliant Consulting Group to produce the activation.

Sundance Film Festival

JJLA produced several activations during the festival including the after-party for Hulu's Hillary, a three-part documentary series that follows the life and career of Hillary Clinton and the 2016 election. Hulu and JJLA’s event production partner Swisher Productions hosted the premiere after-party on January 25 at Kimball Terrace in a reception-style set-up with rustic walls that featured a gallery of iconic images of Clinton and allowed the space to feel intimate for the 150-person event.

Sundance Film Festival

For the first time, the Los Angeles-based film festival Outfest created Outfest House, which included a daylong event series at Kimball Terrace on January 26 that started with brunch followed by an afternoon of panel discussions from queer films debuting at Sundance. More than 650 attendees visited the branded house throughout the day. JJLA handled the production for the activation.

L’Avenue at Saks’ First Anniversary Celebration

On February 4, L'Avenue at Saks celebrated its first anniversary to kick off New York Fashion Week. Billy Porter served as the evening’s co-host. The party’s theme was “Uncommon Chic,” which is also the theme of Saks Fifth Avenue’s upcoming Spring 2020 campaign featuring Rashida Jones. The restaurant and lower-level cocktail lounge, Le Chalet, included elements such as columns reminiscent of the streets in Paris, which were covered in imagery from the campaign; a Pierre Hermé dessert bar featuring four-foot-tall macaron towers; an experience from jewelry designer Maria Tash that offered ear piercings; and 26 piñatas filled with confetti.

Oscars-Inspired Cocktails

Los Angeles-based Cocktail Academy created custom cocktails inspired by this year's Oscars Best Picture nominees including "Love Is a Great Beautifier," inspired by Little Women, with rose-infused vodka, dry white port, lemon, simple syrup, and a lemon twist for garnish. Super Bowl LIV Activations and Events

Miami served as the epicenter of parties, concerts, and events surrounding Super Bowl LIV, which took place February 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Before Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performed during the halftime show, Lady Gaga headlined a sold-out AT&T TV Super Saturday Night. The event celebrated its 10th anniversary at Meridian, a 65,000-square-foot custom-built multi-level concert venue at Island Gardens. Super Bowl LIV Activations and Events

The annual Big Game Big Give by the Giving Back Fund took place at a private mansion, which features two gigantic mesh head sculptures by artist Jaume Plensa at the entrance to the pool, on Star Island in Miami Beach on February 1, and was co-hosted by director Michael Bay and actors Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Jamie Foxx. The event raised money for philanthropic efforts like Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and was produced by Agency 21 Consulting. Super Bowl LIV Activations and Events

Bacardà Rum took over Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel on February 1 with a tropics-touched Bacardi LIV 305 day party produced by Team Enterprises. The event featured three regional bar pop-ups including Grey Goose’s “Live Victoriously” branded wall that was equipped with craft cocktails on tap.
