How should event planners charge for their services? Markups, flat fees, a percentage of budget, commissions? What is a reasonable fee? How do prices vary by years of experience, or by geographical area? These are just a handful of questions that will be answered by a pair of industry pricing surveys being launched today by the Event Leadership Institute, in conjunction with BizBash and Meeting Professionals International.
One survey will poll independent planners, while another will poll in-house planners (clients), to show how and how much planners charge, and compare this with the preferences of corporate clients. E.L.I. will be analyze the results and report here.
To help with the research, please complete this short survey, which should take just three minutes, and help us shed light on this important, but normally secretive, area.
If you're an independent planner or work at an event company, take this survey.
If you're an in-house planner, take this survey.
