The Jonas Brothers’ New Year’s Eve Performance

The Jonas Brothers rang in 2020 on December 31 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s poolscape stage, which included stage-side tables and cabanas. A portion of the performance was televised live on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Freixenet’s FreixStart New Year’s Eve Celebration

At Tao Uptown in New York on December 31, sparkling wine producer Freixenet teamed up with Andy Cohen to throw a New Year’s bash featuring specialty cocktails made with the brand’s Cava, as well as passed hors d'oeuvres, sushi, and dessert. Cohen stopped by the event after hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper.

Aflac Activations at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball

At iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball on December 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York, attendees could compete inside the Aflac Supplemental Spinner, a human hamster wheel, to win prizes including instant concert upgrades.

Aflac also hosted its Level Up Lounge, a V.I.P. experience where parents and chaperones could relax and enjoy food and beverages, charging stations, comfortable seating, and streaming of the concert. The activations were produced by the XP Agency, Arch Production & Design NYC, and LeapStarr Productions.

The Upgrade Arcade with Yahoo Mail

On December 7 and 8 at the Americana at Brand in Glendale, California, visitors could stop by “The Upgrade Arcade” pop-up to check out the new Yahoo Mail app, play games, and score prizes. Players earned tickets as they raced to “unsubscribe” and sort through emails on a giant Plinko-style game. Tickets could then be cashed in for prizes provided by Yahoo Shopping. The activation was produced by NVE Experience Agency.

‘Uncut Gems’ Pop-Up Store

To promote the new movie Uncut Gems, a thriller about a New York City jeweler (played by Adam Sandler), KMH Gems & Jewelry and entertainment company A24 hosted a pop-up store in New York’s Diamond District. The shop was open to the public December 20 to 22 and featured merchandise for sale including jewelry from guest jewelers as well as the movie's official soundtrack.

The Ritz-Carlton Holiday Fashion Santa Tour

Paul Mason, known as Fashion Santa, spread his version of svelte holiday cheer with a stop at the Ritz-Carlton, Boston’s newly redesigned Avery Bar on December 11. In addition to Boston, from December 3 to 19, the Fashion Santa tour visited Ritz-Carlton hotels in Montreal, Washington, and Toronto, in an effort to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. In Boston, guests were encouraged to donate gift cards to families in need. For every 15 photos posted with Fashion Santa during the evening, the hotel donated a $50 gift card to Boston Children’s Hospital.

W Hollywood's Office Party

On December 5, hotel guests and locals enjoyed passed bites, a photo booth, ping pong, and a cash bar at W Hollywood’s the Loft at the hotel’s inaugural “Office Party.” Inspired by a typical work setting, water coolers were filled with cocktails and spiked coffee and donuts replaced the usual office snacks.

Beatles’ Pop-Up Shop

To launch a new line of branded products, Sony Music’s merchandising division, the Thread Shop, and the Beatles’ company, Apple Corps, teamed up to create a Beatles’ pop-up in New York's Soho neighborhood. At the opening party of the shop on December 10, fans and collectors browsed items including socks, T-shirts, and beanies and posed among photo vignettes such as an homage to the album "Yellow Submarine."
