Our March 2022 roundup includes a traveling tour for the 50th anniversary of The Price Is Right, a ski-in activation at the base of a Canadian mountain, a floral-filled product launch from Paris Hilton, an art-covered basketball court, a tech-forward newsstand promoting CNN+ and more.

CBS's 'The Price Is Right' Nationwide Tour
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, CBS Original's The Price Is Right has launched a coast-to-coast tour. The “Come On Down Tour,” which kicked off March 25 at LA's Santa Monica Pier, lets fans and passersby play games and enter for a chance to win the grand prize of $50,000.

CBS partnered with creative agency MKG, who oversaw the design and build of a mobile truck that acts as a game show on wheels. The truck is the centerpiece of the traveling experience; it opens to reveal classic The Price Is Right iconography and its famed Big Wheel game.

The activation also allows guests to play Plinko and stand off in a showcase experience. In addition to the grand prize, other rewards include gift packages that support local businesses that are at least 50 years old.

For the kick-off event in Santa Monica, MKG also designed a light display for the pier’s Ferris wheel, which featured the dollar sign from The Price Is Right's logo at dusk.

CNN+'s 'Streaming Newsstand'
CNN+'s 'Streaming Newsstand'
To build buzz for the brand-new CNN+ streaming platform, the network teamed up with creative agency FIG to launch the CNN+ Newsstand, a pop-up stand in New York’s Madison Square Park. But the activation, which ran from March 29-30, had a modern twist: The “magazines” on display featured moving covers that highlighted the platform's top shows. An added touch? The stand’s concessions were inspired by the content, like “daily news” candy bars and “binge-watch” chips. Tool of North America handled production.

“It was important that we demonstrate that there is so much more to CNN than news,” said Scott Vitrone, partner of creative at FIG. “We created the first-ever ‘streaming newsstand’ where we were able to house all of the CNN+ content in one physical place. The newsstand acts as a billboard, an interactive experience and a set for video content.”

Icebreaker's 'Move to Natural' Pop-Up
Outdoor apparel brand Icebreaker recently worked with Wildfire Experiential and Events to highlight its mission to be plastic-free by 2023. (About 60% of material made into clothing is from plastic, the brand noted.) To bring awareness to the importance of choosing natural materials such as merino wood, the brand hosted a pop-up lounge at the base of Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler, British Columbia.

The walk-up (or ski-up) space was built with a “Move to Natural” theme in mind. It was an indoor-outdoor, naturally lit wood lounge where guests could engage with product specialists to learn more about merino wool and Icebreaker’s mission, while also enjoying locally sourced treats like hot chocolate, coffee and energy balls.

There was also an Instagram-friendly living moss wall, which drew inspiration from the local Whistler mountainscape. Ultimately, the pop-up generated 300,000 social-media impressions for the brand.

Hulu's 'How I Met Your Father' Fan Experience
Hulu's 'How I Met Your Father' Fan Experience
To celebrate the season 1 finale of Hulu Original Series How I Met Your Father, the streamer brought a slice of the Big Apple to Los Angeles. Taking place March 11-13 in downtown LA’s Arts District, the consumer activation brought fans inside real-world replicas of the apartments from the show, where they could watch the finale episode, take photos and enjoy other exclusive moments and mementos.

Paris Hilton x QUAY Launch Party
Paris Hilton x QUAY Launch Party
On March 11, Australia eyewear brand QUAY hosted an exclusive launch event to celebrate its new collaboration with Paris Hilton. Taking over a private residence in Los Angeles, the flowery, photo op-filled event was hosted by Hilton herself; other guests included actor Ross Butler, model Jessica Hart and influencers Lele Pons, Chantel Jeffries and Mads Lewis.

Gymshark's International Women's Day Event
Gymshark's International Women's Day Event
To celebrate International Women’s Day, fitness apparel and accessories brand Gymshark hosted an inspiration-focused gathering at Brick Fitness in West Hollywood, Calif. Designed and produced by Stoelt Productions, the event included a panel discussion moderated by Brick’s general manager, featuring influencers Kathryn & Kendra of @kk_fit_, among others. Fun signage throughout the space featured sayings like, “Turning glass ceilings into dance floors,” and prompts on either side of the stage invited guests to write down the changes they want to make in the world as well as the names of changemakers who inspire them.

Following the discussion, groups were led through a workout session before fueling up with wraps and other bites from Whoa Nelly, coffee from Coffee Dose and ice cream from Bubba Ice that was infused with protein, avocado and almond milk. Organizers hosted three groups of 75 people throughout the day.

HBO's 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty' Basketball Court Refurbishment
To celebrate the series premiere of Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, HBO teamed up with Project Backboard and California artist David Flores to refurbish a local basketball court at Rogers Park in Inglewood, Calif. The court design, which was inspired by the show’s nostalgic 1980s key art, was unveiled during an exclusive, all-day event on March 6. The gathering also included a community dedication ceremony, followed by an influencer skills camp led by celebrity basketball trainer and show consultant Idan Ravin.

Women’s rights-focused nonprofit The Little Market hosted an International Women’s Day luncheon at Veronica and Brian Grazer’s private residence in Santa Monica, Calif. The event honored iconic activist Dolores Huerta with The Little Market’s inaugural “Changemaker Award,” and attendees included Aisha Tyler, Camila Cabello, Lucy Hale, Stephanie Beatriz and more. The stage and photo op areas were flanked with a lush display of florals.
