Fashion e-retailer PrettyLittleThing is hitting the road once again this year on its college tour that kicked off Sept. 16 at the University of Miami.
Set to wrap at the end of October at The University of Texas at Arlington, the 18-campus pop-up store experience is an expansion of last year’s inaugural tour.
“We decided to take the college tour even further, adding stops in New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, and Texas,” said Nicki Capstick, PrettyLittleThing’s chief marketing officer. “After receiving so much love from different areas, we knew we had to show up where the demand was highest.”
The Boohoo Group-owned, U.K.-based fast-fashion retailer provides trendy clothing to 16- to 24-year-old women.
At the pop-up, students can shop the latest PrettyLittleThing looks as well as attend meet-and-greets with internet personalities such as Kaylor Martin and Kelcey Wetterberg as well as celebrities such as La La Anthony, Phaith Montoya, and Loren Gray.
Like last year, a decked-out school bus painted a pale pink that's fitted with matching lockers serves as the mobile space. New for 2024 are more prizes and interactive moments, plus a pickleball court. “It’s all about keeping it fresh, fun, and giving our PLT lovers something new to get excited about,” Capstick said.
Other interactive elements include the “Spin the Wheel” prize station where students can win merch and vouchers, and photo ops like the Dressing Room selfie station where visitors can try on looks and the Study Style Desk.
The brand’s Student Ambassador Program is also involved at each stop. “Our ambassadors, along with students from campus sororities, will be playing a huge role in bringing the event to life, engaging with their peers, and sharing the PLT magic firsthand,” she added.
Across the first four stops, which all took place at schools in Florida, PrettyLittleThing has already had over 3,500 students stop by the pop-up, averaging around 900 attendees per day.
“We’re just getting started, and we expect to keep the momentum going as we hit even more campuses. With 18 schools on the tour, we’re on track to welcome at least 15,000 students by the end of the tour,” Capstick said.
