Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's Super Saturday Benefit Shopping Event
Submitted by EventStyle New York
To encourage the crowds to attend the family-friendly fund-raising day in the Hamptons, event producer EventStyle worked with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to create a creative invitation that would highlight the theme and detail the various activities. Inside a simple white envelope emblazoned with the words "Late Breaking News! Your Super Saturday 8 Invitation enclosed!" was a newspaper-style sheet with event details and photos. Also enclosed was a simple reply card and envelope.

Top of the Rock
Submitted by Rubenstein Communications, Tishman Speyer Properties
In November 2005, Tishman Speyer Properties reopened Top of the Rock on the top six levels of the tallest building at Rockefeller Center. The 55,000-square-foot space has impressive views of New York and features a 180-foot-wide, nine-foot-high crystal wall and 35-foot-long chandelier (both from Swarovski), and a Target-sponsored "breezeway" with motion-detecting LED technology. The weather room—the main event space—has adjoining terraces, 24-foot ceilings, and 18-foot windows. Catering is provided by Cipriani.

Mount Sinai 20th anniversary Crystal Ball Gala
Submitted by Scharff Weisberg Inc.
For Mount Sinai Medical Center's May gala, sound designer Steve Sockey of SIA Acoustics worked with Scharff Weisberg Inc. to provide an extensive audio system that was incorporated seamlessly into the event's design. Using velour, a series of 624 acoustical panels hung above the event area, custom rigging, and loudspeakers suspended from a glass ceiling, the team reduced the reverberation of sound inside the center's Cummings Atrium, directing the sound away from the dining area and toward the dance floor.

"H&M Live from Central Park" Fashion Show and Concert
Submitted by Regal Tent Productions Ltd.
For Swedish clothing giant Hennes & Mauritz's fashion show, dinner, and musical performance, KCD Worldwide hired Regal Tents to build a four-story tent on Central Park's Rumsey Playfield. The 40- by 40-meter clearspan structure had a curved entrance tent, a 12,000-square-foot tent for various backstage components such as catering, storage, and hair and makeup, and a 15,000-square-foot space that housed the X-shaped runway. Working with the Central Park Conservancy, Regal worked carefully to raise the tent's frame to prevent damaging the surrounding trees and the field's grounds.
