Give guests a chocolate sampling as an alternative to the traditional wine tasting. Chocolate Bar offers tastings in its West Village store for groups of 12 with presentations from New York chocolatiers and commentary from the store's founders, Alison Nelson and Matt Lewis. During a briefing on the history and art of chocolate, guests sample white, milk and dark chocolates; truffles; and the store's signature treats like butter crunch bites. Off-premise tastings are available for large groups. A two-hour tasting starts at $17 per person. —Jill Musguire
