We've always said about our reporting that it's not Watergate, but it still takes some digging to come up with the information we pass along to our readers (meaning we take our jobs seriously, even when we're asking who supplied the body-painted topless bartenders). So we couldn't resist heading down to the Tribeca Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Institute's screening of All the President's Men and panel discussion with Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein, and Ben Bradlee about the film and Woodward's new book, The Secret Man: The Story of Watergate's Deep Throat. It didn't disappoint. The movie's still sharp, and the panel was candid and casual, as when moderator Charlie Rose's cell phone jangled with a reminder that he had a live broadcast of his show to get to, drawing a laugh from the crowd at the Tribeca Cinemas.
