Participants starting Saturday's race

The unseasonable chill in the Los Angeles air didn't daunt more than 50,000 participants who marched to benefit women with ovarian and breast cancers on Saturday. The annual pre-Mother's Day Revlon Run/Walk for Women event, put on by the Entertainment Industry Foundation, has raised nearly $50 million from combined events in Los Angeles and New York since its inception in 1993.
Revlon brand ambassadors Halle Berry and Beau Garrett joined participants, and Tom Selleck and Carrie Ann Inaba hosted the race. Opening ceremonies kicked off with performances by Jesse McCartney and Melissa Manchester and finished with tunes from the Go-Gos as participants crossed the finish line of the 5K trek at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
