Gene Simmons Signs on for Keynote Address at Canadian Music Week

Rock icon Gene Simmons, who cofounded the band Kiss more than 35 years ago, will deliver the artist keynote address during the 27th annual Canadian Music Week, which runs from March 11 to 14. Simmons will speak about his various business endeavours, including a recent partnership between Simmons Records and Universal Music Canada that is designed to promote Canadian talent.

In addition to Simmons' speech at the Fairmont Royal York on March 12, the four-day event—which attracts more than 2,000 delegates—also includes a trade exposition, a film festival, four award shows, and the Canadian Music Fest, featuring three nights of performances by 500 artists in 45 venues across the city.
