The Ontario Science Centre didn't have to look far for entertainment ideas for the launch of its Marvel Super Heroes exhibit. Marvel's comics contain a wide range of striking, engaging characters such as Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk—and Storm and Wolverine from the X-Men series. Marvel Character Appearances supplied actors dressed like these and other Marvel superheroes to stroll around the exhibit space, meet guests, and pose for pictures. OSC collaborated with Yellowbrick-Holman Exhibitions to design and build the 10,000-square-foot installation site. After arriving at the centre, guests traversed a faux brick hallway and rode in an elevator with iron doors to reach the event area. Westbury National Show Systems pumped fog into the space—heightening the sense of mystery and excitement. Other decor elements included fake spiders and spider webs on the food tables, and bricks and superhero posters propped up on cocktail tables adorned by linens in primary colours from Paragon Linens. Gourmet Cuisine created food stations that served dishes with a superhero theme such as "Wolverine" Wellington and "Mystique" mini quiche.
