Acre 121

The owners of Lou’s City Bar opened live music venue Acre 121 in July. Located down the street from Lou’s, the 3,000-square-foot club specializes in country cuisine. Acre 121 offers live music performances Wednesday through Sunday. There is seating for 100 inside and for an additional 50 on the patio. The open layout can accommodate as many as 200 people for receptions and performances.

Sax

Penn Quarter gained a bit of French culture with the opening of Sax in May. This 9,700-square-foot venue specializes in live music and cabaret performances nightly. The bilevel space features white walls adorned with gilded picture frames, granite columns, and antique chandeliers, and has dinner-theater-style seating for 150 amid red tufted banquets and chairs.
