At Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards on Sunday, Michelle Obama presented an award to Taylor Swift, and even the first lady wasn't spared a bit of splatter from the green slime long known as the show's signature stunt. Leading up to the awards, GBK hosted a a slime-free gift lounge along with BOP and Tiger Beat magazines at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. There, a 14-foot press wall was made entirely of cake, fondant with buttercream accents, and sugar flowers. The theme for this year's lounge was a birthday bash supporting the American Cancer Society (whose current tagline is "More birthdays"), and had activities like an animated flipbook station from Action Flipbooks, a candy buffet, presents, and an opportunity to sign a birthday card or tape a message for patients at a local hospital. Bread Basket Cake Company prepared boxed cupcake invitations for guests, and teamed up with GBK to design the press wall.
