Two More Thompson Hotels on the Way

While in Los Angeles this week, at Amanda Demme's redone poolside Tropicana Bar at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, we spoke with hoteliers Jason Pomeranc and Dodd Mitchell—the folks behind 60 Thompson—about their two projects in the works on both sides of the country. On the West Coast: The 100-or-so-room Thompson BH hotel in Beverly Hills will have a restaurant and an open-year-round rooftop event space. The first model room opens next week. On the East Coast: The Thompson LES at the intersection of Houston and Allen Streets on the Lower East Side is slated to open in about 18 months. It will have both hotel and condo space (more hotel than condo, they say).
