Two local chefs—Tobey Nemeth of Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar and Michael Caballo of Niagara Street Café—are going to Europe for a "multiyear journey" dedicated to food, according to The Toronto Star. The couple will leave their respective posts next week and depart later this month. Dan deMatteis, the events and catering chef at Jamie Kennedy Kitchens, will take Nemeth's place as chef de cuisine at the wine bar. Nick Liu (ex-Splendido) will step in as head chef at Niagara Street.
