Opening downtown on a still-unspecified date later this month is Casa, an upscale Mexican restaurant available for larger special events and more intimate business entertaining. Kris Morningstar is the chef and partner in the indoor-outdoor venue, which holds 200 and is available for full buyouts. Smaller areas within may also be booked individually.
The space is anchored by an indoor-outdoor bar that has large rounded booths in the patio area known to the venue as "casitas." The indoor space has dark wood tables with antique Mexican decor and cookware. Outside, there is a "social casita" that has highboys and cocktail tables, and has room for 20. There's also a high, private casita, also known as the “power casita,” with room for four. A casita with a circular arrangement of lounge chairs around a fire table has room for 40. Two corner casitas nearest the outdoor bar each have room for eight. The casita nearest the host stand has high seats and low backs for that see-and-be-seen appeal, and it seats as many as nine.
Inside, the "Sueno casita" holds 20, and others hold between two and seven guests. The lounge with wine bar, chef's table, and communal table has room for 40.
