Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown

InterContinental Hotels Group opened its first-ever hotel in the Middle East in October, adding to its brand of lifestyle boutique hotels. The new Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown—located minutes from the Dubai Fountain and Mall, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, and the Burj Khalifa—is a perfect place for visitors to unwind after discovering the buzzing city. The modern hotel features 269 stylish guest rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, an 82-foot infinity pool, and 366 square feet of private meeting space. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Open Sesame, fuses Emirati, Levante, and Anatolian cuisine with Cafe Rider Custom Roastery’s local coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, the cutting-edge hotel has partnered with Alserkal Cultural Foundation, Tashkeel, and XVA gallery to fill the space with over 200 pieces of attention-grabbing art that draws inspiration from the surrounding neighborhood.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel

In October, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants opened Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, England. Joining the Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in London, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow, and Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, the new property features 270 loft-style guest rooms, including 11 suites. The terracotta building that dates back to the 1890s blends 19th-century architecture with contemporary design. The Winter Garden, The Refuge, and Public Bar are the hotel’s eateries, with various options for food and drink, such as lamb shawarma dishes and passion-fruit martinis. Whether it's an intimate cocktail reception or large corporate meeting, Kimpton Clocktower can host parties from four to 1,000 guests with ample room options to fit all event needs.

Conrad Punta de Mita

In Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, the Conrad Punta de Mita opened in September on a 2-mile-long stretch of the Pacific Ocean. SB Architects reflected the history and culture of the surrounding region by integrating coastal interior design elements like rattan dining chairs and boasting natural palms. The property includes 324 rooms and “Casas," for those traveling in groups, with spacious patios, plunge pools, and outdoor showers. The hotel’s amenities include three all-embracing pools, a 10,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The resort’s four restaurants and three bars offer menus highlighting flavors and dishes of the region. With more than 5,000 square feet of event space, eight different meeting rooms, and on-site event planners, small or large occasions are welcome at the Conrad Punta de Mita.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok

The Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ first property in southeast Asia, opened in Langsuan’s creative district in October. The new hotel fuses earthy tones and finishes from local suppliers with fresh interiors and traditional Thai tapestries that create a unique atmosphere. The 362-room property with 131 private residences features an ultramodern fitness center, spa, and infinity pool. The hotel has various food and drink options with Bar.Yard, Ms. Jigge Cafe, Stock Room Restaurant, and Craft Lobby Bar. With more than 6,200 square feet of versatile event space, the hotel’s chic but comfortable meeting rooms have the ability to fill the needs of all looking to plan a personalized event.

Radisson Hotel Diamond Barranquilla

In October, The Radisson Hotel Group revealed the Radisson Hotel Diamond Barranquilla in Colombia on Street 84 near the many social pubs, clubs, and restaurants. Previously the Park Inn by Radisson Diamond Barranquilla, the hotel endured an expansive renovation that includes updated guest rooms and lobby areas. The new hotel is conveniently situated by the city’s top attractions, including the Magdalena River, Via Parque Isla Salamanca, and the Customs Building historic site. The revamped property features 132 guest rooms and suites, an on-site restaurant, RBG Bar & Grill, and a rooftop pool and sauna that creates a place of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With 16 event spaces and meeting rooms, the venue can host as many as 350 guests and offers catering, audiovisual setup, and even entertainment.

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo

In the heart of the Skyscraper District sits Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo, which revealed its industrious art deco-inspired hotel in October. The hotel boasts 151 rooms, three meeting and event spaces, an expansive fitness center, and a chapel that duplicates as an exclusive art gallery. The hotel’s two eclectic eateries include District, a Tokyo-inspired outdoor terrace and bar with refined cocktails, and The Jones, a Manhattan-inspired deli with local ales and coffees. The hotel’s meeting and event amenities for fundraisers, press events, and more include MacBook and iPad rentals, multimedia and audiovisual support, and meeting concept consultations.

Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort

In November, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort revealed its notable beachfront resort after a multimillion-dollar renovation. The renewed property includes 14 exclusive Plunge Pool oceanfront suites; a fully reimagined beach club, dubbed Enclave; a family-friendly Splash Zone and adults-only infinity pool; and a fitness center. The hotel’s 246 guest rooms offer Mexico-inspired interiors, fresh white linens, and breezy balconies. Executive chef Mauricio Lopez’s six restaurants and bars include menus that encompass flavors and dishes from all over the world. When it comes to event space, the property offers sizable options, like the El Dorado Ballroom that accommodates as many as 360 guests, as well as spaces for more intimate gatherings, like the Black Marlin Terrace, ideal for parties smaller than 48 guests.

JW Marriott El Convento Cusco

In late October, JW Marriott El Convento Cusco reopened with a newly remodeled, upscale hotel in Peru. Conveniently located in close proximity to the Historic Center of the City of Cusco and Plaza de Armas, the hotel makes it easy for guests to visit the city’s historic attractions post-meeting. The 146 spacious guest rooms embrace 16th-century architecture with handcrafted headboards, warm wooden floors, and pronounced lighting fixtures. The property features a signature spa where guests can experience ancient Andean-influenced healing treatments and the autograph Qespi Restaurant and Bar, which takes a “culture to table” approach with dishes like pachamanca and local trout causa. With more than 9,000 square feet of event space across five event rooms, the property accommodates as many as 400.
