Daytona
Beach’s Florida International Festival, a 16-day music extravaganza that will
take place July 13 to 28, will offer something for even the youngest audiences,
as it is designed to allow families to expose children of all ages to different
cultures and musical genres. This year’s event, featuring headliners the London
Symphony Orchestra, will be composed (no pun intended) of five concert series.
The most audience-friendly of these, the 2007 Family Fest Series, will include
performances by a stand-up comedian for children, a Latin-American ensemble
from Chile, opportunities for discovery and exploration through music, and
more—all with prices, places, and performers that will appeal to a more casual
crowd.
