VENUE: Huge Space at the Waterfront

Once the home of dancing, drugs and intoxicated club kids, the space that once housed the Tunnel nightclub has cleaned up and reopened exclusively as a giant private event venue. Now called the Waterfront, the space offers more than 30,000 square feet of event space, ranging from raw spaces with hardwood floors and industrial ceiling piping to the extravagantly appointed Kenny Sharf room (named for the pop artist who designed it) with vinyl furniture and walls decorated with swirling swaths of faux fur. The space's preferred event caterer is Spoonbread, and the recommended decor and event planner is the Event Company. --Suzanne Ito
