VENUE: Stone Rose at Time Warner

Nightlife impresario Rande Gerber—whose Midnight Oil Company operates the bars in all the W hotels—is opening another sophisticated space, Stone Rose, in the new Time Warner Center. The 5,000-square-foot venue has a masculine feel, with plaid-patterned stone floors, leather accents and mirrored surfaces in red and bronze. An intimate main lounge area has 135 seats and windows that face Columbus Circle. Columns with leather details complement the long bar. There is also a private lounge with curved rosewood banquettes and bronze mirrored walls. The entire space holds 300 and opens tomorrow. —Mark Mavrigian
