Noelle Provencial, senior manager of experiential marketing and events at Groupon, will be speaking at the BizBash IdeaFest Chicago on Wednesday, November 14, at the Merchandise Mart. Provencial has produced past Groupon events such as a 1,500-guest hangover breakfast at South by Southwest and an 8,500-guest movie screening at Wrigley Field, among others.

Earlier this year, Provencial had an idea for a new paid event for Groupon customers–Camp Groupon. She pitched it to Groupon C.E.O. Andrew Mason, he liked it, and in July she pulled off Camp Groupon, drawing about 500 to purchase the $749 package for experiences like a Counting Crows concert, skydiving, and nightly happy hours.

Provencial’s presentation as part of the BizBash IdeaFest Chicago Conference Program will focus on how she conceived the weekend-long ticketed event, pitched it to Groupon’s C.E.O., and worked with departments across the company to sell sponsorships, promote the event, and execute it successfully. Attendees can register now for the BizBash IdeaFest Chicago at bizbash.com/ideafestchi.

When Provencial made our list of the most innovative people in events earlier this year, she recorded this video interview, which also gives a preview of her presentation.
