1. SUPER PARTY SCHEDULE: Big brands are getting ready to host major parties and promotions in New Orleans this week for the Super Bowl. Here's BizBash's guide to the major happenings: bizba.sh/TLjrNo

2. BIG GAME, NEW YORK STYLE: For next year's Super Bowl, a swath of Midtown—Broadway between 33rd and 44th streets—will turn into "Super Bowl Boulevard," hosting football clinics, concerts, player appearances, and a display of the Lombardi trophy. Bloomberg: “The Super Bowl is not just a game anymore,” N.F.L. Commissioner Roger Goodell said. “It’s a week of events.” http://bloom.bg/WpimpL

3. SAG SANITIZER: The official after-party for Sunday's Screen Actors Guild awards took place in a large room adjacent to the Shrine Auditorium. Hollywood Reporter: "The crowded venue featured numerous little alcoves for sitting, a DJ and dancefloor, a separate tent for smokers, and a buffet table." http://bit.ly/YyF6Kd

The hottest accessory at Sunday's SAG awards may have been hand sanitizer. Several stars showed up sick or didn't attend the show. Hollywood Reporter: "Don't touch me; I'm so sick," said actress Marion Cotillard, a nominee for Rust and Bone. http://bit.ly/VfQ8iP

Visit BizBash.com later today for an inside look at the SAG awards.

4. SOUTH BEACH FOR LOCALS: A slate of new venues have been as welcoming to residents as tourists. New York Times: "lately, the seaside playground has found a cooler, local groove away from the beach: a handful of cocktail bars, homey restaurants, and boutique hotels—some imported from New York—have opened far from the hubbub of Ocean Drive and the frat-crush of Wet Willie’s. It is an untouristy South Beach for the self-selective few." http://nyti.ms/SNZxzm

5. OSCAR'S ECO FASHION STATEMENT: The environmental initiative Red Carpet Green Dress returns this year, with British actress Naomie Harris wearing a design using "ethical fabrics" from Ghana native Michael Badger. Women's Wear Daily: “Our project is about considered creations—beautiful fashion that does not cost the earth,” according to the project's global campaign director Samata Angel. http://wwd.us/14nBydY
